I'm Janelle Darnell. I am a born and raised Indiana girl, who has fled to the gorgeous pure coastline of west Michigan! Currently serving Spring Lake, Michigan and those surrounding areas within 1/2 hour.  I married the guy in college who's last name would make my name rhyme and we have been married 17 years. We have 2 very enthusiastic children, Remy (14) and Landree (11). I am a lifestyle photographer who specializes in fun modern portraits & storytelling for families, companies and products. I also am a freelance writer (see article links below). And yes my family has been my biggest support system in my photography journey! 

I fell in love with photography after I had kids and started capturing their milestones. I wanted to capture it all and my favorites turned out to be just the every day moments. They are my inspiration behind all of my photography.

Once my littlest was born I dedicated myself to learning photography as to capture all their childhood moments. I started by reading books, blogs, online tutorials, joined forums and attended workshops. I created an instagram account 8 years ago which is my biggest inspiration and where you can find all of my kids daily moments. I have come to crave capturing the moments!  I am beyond thrilled to be able to do what I love!  If my work interest you then I look forward to meeting you and capturing your family's moments!
